Registered as a charitable society with the Ministry of Interior under RA-22445-HR. The organization’s work stems from its solid belief in the tools of LARP and Gaming as powerful and diverse tools for capacity-building, communication, conflict resolution, education, decision-making and addressing social and political issues.
What started as a group of volunteers coming together to build a LARP community in Palestine, over the years, turned into a community of LARPers that expanded and flourished reaching out to new communities through a wide range of gaming and capacity-building activities executed in Palestine and supported and enhanced by the expertise and knowledge transferred by a network of partnerships with several LARP organizations operating in Europe.
The name Bait Byout comes from the title of a popular roleplaying game for kids who pretend to be adults and create new and alternative realities.
The LARP community and volunteers came together to carefully and gradually plan the steps needed for establishing a structured organization that has solid programs and a clear strategy, supported by the necessary comprehensive administrative and financial bylaws, policies, and procedures that would maximize the impact and the sustainability of Bait Byout in Palestine as the only LARP oriented organization in the Arab World.

Mission
Bait Byout thrives to provide a safe and loving space that celebrates expression and stimulates the creative imagination, spreading and promoting LARP and board games of first-rate quality and content. Bait Byout adopts congregative and participatory learning among its community members. Through role-playing and other games, Bait Byout aims to develop the life skills of individuals, particularly youth and children, as it seeks to equip young people to take more empowered and leading roles in their societies, whilst also shedding light on relevant cultural and societal issues.

Palestinian National Aspirations
We will continue to work collectively with other civil society organizations to put an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine and to program and work following the Palestinian national aspiration towards freedom and justice.

Promote the Art of Gaming: to promote the art of gaming (LARP and Board Games in Palestine)

Empower and Support Youth: to empower Palestinian youth with skills, and knowledge for self-expression, development, production and growth and to increase their contribution to the development of their different communities.

Advance Dialogue and Exchange: to better position Bait Byout within the Palestinian community and across the Arab Region and to further expand and strengthen Bait Byout’s’ international partnerships.

Invest in Bait Byout the Institution: to strengthen the organizational structure and administrative capacities of Bait Byout to diligently, effectively and efficiently carry out its different programs and activities.

Income Generating Modality: to pilot a HYBRID modality of sustainability through income generation, resource mobilization and fundraising.
